This website is a private, non-commercial project: no advertising, no sales, no paid services. It is run by Pokyh, who can be reached at [email protected].

Links to external sites were checked when they were added; their content is outside this site's control and responsibility.

Not a gambling site

The Fruit Fly Slot Machine is an educational neuroscience simulation. There is no money, no betting, no prizes and nothing to buy: a simulated fly plays alone, and the credits have no value of any kind.

If gambling is causing you problems, help is free and anonymous. In Italy, call the national gambling helpline Telefono Verde Nazionale per le problematiche legate al Gioco d'Azzardo on 800 558 822.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Pokyh, reachable at [email protected].

What this site does not do

• No cookies, and no similar technologies such as local storage for tracking.
• No analytics, no advertising, no social media plugins, no tracking pixels.
• No third-party requests: fonts, 3D models and connectome data are all served from this site.
• The simulation runs entirely in your browser. Nothing about what you watch or click is sent anywhere.

Because no cookies or trackers are used, there is no cookie banner.

Server logs

When you open a page, our server may automatically process technical data needed to deliver and secure the website, such as your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser's user agent. This processing is necessary to operate and secure the site (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest).

The website and its server infrastructure are operated by Pokyh. These technical data are not used to identify you and are not combined with other data. Server logs are retained only for as long as necessary for security, troubleshooting and the reliable operation of the website.

If you write an email

Your email address and message are used only to reply to you (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and are deleted once the conversation is over, unless the law requires otherwise.

Your rights

Under articles 15–21 GDPR you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format. To exercise them, write to the email address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

Providing any data is not required, and no automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
