Fruit Fly vs. the Swatter
A real fruit fly CT scan drinks spilled beer on a pub table while a swatter comes down. Its brain is simulated on the MaleCNS connectome: the swatter head growing in its eyes drives the looming detectors LPLC2 and LC4, only its giant fibre, DNp01, decides when it jumps — and the ethanol, acting on GABA, acetylcholine and glutamate synapses, slows it down.
